By Dave Vieser from CorneliusToday. The Cornelius Town Board unanimously passed a strongly worded resolution calling on the NCDOT to terminate its contract with Spanish based Cintra/I-77 Mobility Partners to build toll lanes on I-77.

From WSOC News reporter Jenna Deery: Mecklenburg County Commissioners unanimously passed an I-77 toll lane resolution Tuesday night requesting a 90-day stop on the project to allow for an independent audit of its terms. Mecklenburg County joins the governments in Mooresville, Davidson, Corneilus and Huntersville in the fight against the tolls.

Department of Transportation says it will move forward with a private developer to build Interstate 77 toll lanes, despite concerns from local officials over fine print inserted into a contract that could hinder future expansions of the highway.
